April Lotions & Potions

Not sponsored by no-one
Yes, as my bathroom cabinet can attest, I am indeed a lotions and potions slut.

When you are a blogger, companies like to send you all sorts of stuff to try in the hope that you will fall in love with that particular product and sing it from the rooftops.  But you do not always fall in love with the product. Sometimes they are really average and sometimes they can sting to crap out of your face,  like a certain brand's facial wipes. Ouch!

But I do discover some really terrific stuff.  Today I am pulling 5 products out of my collection that I am horning over. Let us start with number 5.

Sebastian Halo Mist - Click to buy

I really like this light-weight shiny spray.  Adds shine with no grease. $28.99 for  100mL which seems to last forever. Tickety tick!

Maybelline Great Lash BIG - Click to buy

Australia's favourite mascara has ramped it up a notch, promising a lump-free, clump-free finish. It has a lash doubling formula,  whatever that means.  I found the site above which is selling two tubes for $12.95 which is VERY cheap. You are supposed to switch over your mascara regularly to avoid getting a condition similar to Pink Eye. I rate this mascara. A lot!

Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow - Click to buy

Benefit is one of my favourite make-up brands but to be honest,  I had never tried their foundations. TO be TOTALLY honest,  I really do not like the feel of them on my skin if they are sticky and heavy. Bleurgh. But this is a light to medium coverage,  has SPF 25, is oil free and really does brighten up your complexion. I have only been using it for a week, but so far so good.

Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant +

I urge and implore you to seriously consider this brand new product. It is just all sorts of amazing. I have always been a fan of the Original Trilogy Rosehip Oil,  but this one beats it's sister hands down. 100% Organic, use 4 drops on a clean face and massage it in every morning and night. It is full off all these fancy schmancy stuff, but I just adore. Would marry it. Results after a few days.

And my number one must-have beauty product for the month is.......

Hirudoid Cream - Click to buy

* Improves blood flow to the area. * Promotes tissue regeneration by increasing collagen and elastin fibres in the connective tissue matrix. * Improves moisturising capacity of the skin by increasing the hyaluronic acid content. * Accelerates the absorption of bruises. * Reduces swelling and inflammation. *Stops you from looking like a freak show.

So there you have it! My Top 5 Products for April. All tried and tested by myself and happy to sing about them from my bloggy rooftop.

But I want to know what yours are!

What is the BEST beauty product you have discovered lately?
Or do you have a tried and true one you swear by?
Go on.... share!
