Then I sink into the most deepest slumber ever, and it is during this time that I have the most ridiculous and vivid dreams imaginable. Sometimes they are disturbing, but mainly they are fun dreams.
"Hello Mr Clooney! Nice to see you again. You want me to WHAT?"
"Oh, Ok then....."
Then BANG. 6.30am comes and I am woken by someone shoving the cat in my face, and the inevitable question....
"Whats for dinner Mum?"
It is not a relaxing way to start the day, let me tell you.
So last night, I took a sleeping pill that my MIL gave me a while ago in case of sleep deprivation emergencies. I had hit the wall my friends, and needed to build up some bankable hours of sleep.
I went to bed at 8.30pm. All bets were off. The show was over. Move on people, nothing to see here......
I woke at 6.30am in exactly the same position I fell asleep in, but with added pillow drool.
I DID IT! I smashed out 10 hours of sleep.
I felt fantastic as I sprung out of bed. And then I noticed a few strange anomalies....
First up, Jack had gotten up and had entirely cleaned up the boys bedrooms, including making the beds and lining up shoes.
Then I went and had a shower and came out to find both of them sitting quietly, doing their homework..... And there has been no fighting all morning.
It is just too suspicious to even think about.
In conclusion, I do believe I am suffering one of two things.
Either I am still asleep and this is all part of my vivid dreaming.
OR
I have woken up in the Twilight Zone.
Either way, that magical pill was not at all a bitter one to swallow.
Have you ever woken up and thought "WTF is going on?"
And why is the toaster short fusing the house this morning...
Is it a sign?
Ever taken a sleeping pill?
