I nearly choked on my chorizo this morning when I read a critique in the paper about journalist Tracy Grimshaw, who dared to show up on our screens looking like this.

Tracy was reporting live from the devastating flood situation in Queensland. Death and destruction was all around. People losing everything they owned and were clearly terrified. Watching the reports unfold and the grief on peoples faces made my heart break.

But none of that, it seemed, was as important as the fact that Grimshaw did not have time to do her hair.

Time to get a little perspective, don't you agree?
